This year’s Tour de Pologne will start from the Krakow Main Market Square on the 4th of August. On the 8th of August, cyclists will gather at the Daniłowicz Shaft, where they will begin the 5th stage of the race with the finish line in Bielsko-Biała. The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine will once again be the host of the stage start.
The Wieliczka mine ended the last year with a record number of 1.7 million visitors. Will 2018 be better? The results for the first five months of the year show that this will indeed be the case. By the end of May, the historic underground was visited by 598,500 tourists, which is 46,600 more than in the corresponding period of 2017.
The Wieliczka mine has worked for many years with the Off Camera Foundation, the organiser of the International Festival of Independent Cinema NETIA OFF CAMERA. This year, the 11th edition of the festival will take place in Krakow between the 27th of April and the 6th of May. The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine has become a Local Partner of the event.
