Rules for visitors

The visit along the Pilgrims’ Route lasts ca 2.5 hours.

The visitors tour the mine always under the supervision of a tour guide.

Visiting the route requires earlier reservations.

After the visit, holy mass may be held or a common prayer said, providing there is a priest present in the group. Groups interested in the above are required to notify this during reservation.

The temperature in the mine ranges between 14° and 16° C. That is why you need to make sure to take warmer clothing with you even in summer. When preparing for your visit, please remember to wear comfortable shoes.

To enter the mine, visitors descend down the stairs to the depth of 64 m, and to exit the mine, the elevator takes them up from the depth of 135 m. While visiting the mine, there are also some stairs to go down between individual levels. In order to make your visit as comfortable as possible, please let us know while making a reservation whether there are pilgrims having trouble walking in your group.

Smoking tobacco products in the mine is strictly prohibited. It is also forbidden to use open fire and electric torches.

For convenience reasons, tourists may leave their luggage for the time of their visit in the mine in a left-luggage office situated by the information point. 1. Bringing luggage to the mine is not allowed with the exception of hand baggage. Hand baggage is considered to be luggage of maximum dimensions 35cm x 20cm x 20cm. Larger backpacks, bags, suitcases should be left in coaches and cars or taken to the luggage room located in the area of descending into the mine.
