Free-of-charge visits are for children up to 4 years of age.
Visiting in different languages
Individual tourists buy their admission tickets to the mine and then wait for a group to gather and the Polish language guide, or they enter the mine with a selected foreign language group at a set hour.

American Express, VISA, Mastercard, VISA Electron and Maestro cards are accepted at the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine. An ATM is also available at the Danilowicz Shaft as well as a foreign currency exchange desk open throughout the year from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

The services are carried out according to the “Terms and Conditions of visiting the ‘Wieliczka’ Salt Mine and the Underground Exhibit of the Krakow Saltworks Museum in Wieliczka”, which can be found at the Mine’s website – www.kopalnia.pl – and which is also available at the Mine’s office.
Group Tourists
Touring the mine by organised groups with a guide requires earlier booking. Organised groups are eligible for a 10% discount on standard and discount tickets.

Free of charge visits at the mine are allowed for: children up to 4 years of age, organised group leader or supervisor.
The minimum number of tourists in an organised group is 20 persons. Groups of fewer than 20 persons make reservations at a cost of a 20-person group. The maximum number of tourists in a group is 40. Organised groups numbering more than 40 tourists will be broken up into smaller groups. The number of guides assigned to a group will be decided by the Mine. Accepting the reservation for an organised group requires a deposit of 300 PLN for each booked group of up to 40 people.
