The Chapel of St. John

A beautiful, historic shrine, a symbol of Wieliczka miners' faith and worship, is considered to be the most beautiful chapel in the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine with wooden furnishings. Visitors are watched over by a Trinity scene painted on the ceiling against the background of blue sky. The most valuable monument of this chamber is an 18th c. figure of Christ crucified.

The Chapel of St. John is located 135 meters underground, and its floor area is of 153 m2. It is ideal to organise an intimate Mass or a wedding for up to 40 people.
